Swedish 20th century prime minister (1872-1945)
Carl Gustaf Ekman was a Swedish statesman and liberal politician who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1926 to 1928 and again from 1930 to 1932. From 1923 to 1934, Ekman was leader of the Free-Minded National Association and represented Stockholm in the Riksdag from 1911 to 1932. His influence in balancing power between Sweden’s major political blocs during the 1920s and 1930s resulted him being widely known as the "Arbiter of the Realm" (Riksvågsmästaren).
