Born in Switzerland in August 1950, Juvet spent his early career writing pop songs that stayed close to home. The shift came in the late seventies when he pivoted to disco, trading verse-chorus for four-on-the-floor. "I Love America" landed in 1978 and became his calling card: top twenty in France, Sweden, and the UK, top ten on the US disco chart. The records that followed rode the same pulse, and for a few years he had Europe and American dance floors in parallel. He died around the first of April 2021.
