Füreder, born 27 November 1974 in Austria, started releasing under the Parov Stelar alias in the early 2000s. The 2004 EP KissKiss and the album Rough Cuts that followed built the template: brass loops, swing breaks, electronic punch. Catgroove, Booty Swing, and All Night became global club staples and pushed electro swing from niche to charting genre - All Night went double platinum in Italy and platinum in Germany and Austria. Since 2005 he's toured the world with the Parov Stelar Band, a hybrid DJ and live-instrument setup that's played Coachella, Glastonbury, Sziget, and sold-out rooms from Alexandra Palace to New York's PlayStation Theater. Ten studio albums, ten Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, and a sound now woven into the background of contemporary visual media.
