Måns Petter Albert Sahlén Zelmerlöw came fifth on Idol 2005, then won the first season of Let's Dance and landed a hit in 2007 with "Cara Mia", his Melodifestivalen entry that year. He hosted Allsång på Skansen from 2011 to 2013, threading television work through repeated runs at Melodifestivalen - 2009, then 2015, then 2025. The 2015 attempt broke through: "Heroes" won the national final and carried him to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, which he won. A fourth Melodifestivalen followed a decade later, the singer still working the same Swedish contest circuit that made him.
