Maite Perroni Beorlegui was born 9 March 1983 and broke through in 2004 with Rebelde, the youth telenovela that launched RBD and made her a fixture across Latin America. By 2009 Univision had named her "The New Queen of Telenovelas," and in 2016 she took the Premios TVyNovelas for Best Actress for Antes muerta que Lichita.
