Dulce María

Dulce María Espinosa Saviñón started young - commercials at five, the group KIDS at eleven, then Jeans at fifteen - cycling through Mexico's pop machinery before she was old enough to drive. The break came in 2004 with Televisa's Rebelde, a telenovela that spun off RBD, a two-time Latin Grammy-nominated act that became a multi-continent phenomenon. When the group dissolved, she went solo in 2009 under Universal Music Latin. Her debut EP Extranjera - Primera Parte hit number one in Mexico in 2010, and she became the first Mexican artist to earn platinum in Brazil. Four studio albums followed between 2011 and 2021, and she kept working the telenovela circuit - Verano de amor, Corazón que miente, Pienso en ti. The awards stacked up across borders: MTV Europe, Premios Juventud, Nickelodeon in three countries. She stayed in the frame.
