Elizabeth Shaila Koshy started on Vine in 2013, building an audience one looping joke at a time before migrating to YouTube as the app collapsed. Her first film role came in 2016 with Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween, the same year she landed Freakish on Hulu and began a three-year run on YouTube Premium's Escape the Night. She spent 2017-2018 as an MTV correspondent for Total Request Live, then created and starred in Liza on Demand for YouTube Premium, a three-season comedy that collected multiple awards. By 2018 she was hosting Nickelodeon's Double Dare revival, earning a Daytime Emmy nod, and by 2020 she'd moved to Netflix for Work It and picked up voice work in My Little Pony: A New Generation and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Forbes named her to its 2019 30 Under 30 list the same year Time counted her among the 25 Most Influential People on the Internet and tapped her for its 100 Next list.
