About this person
Dávid Julián Dobrík was born in Slovakia on 23 July 1996 and gained a million followers on Vine before the app folded. In 2015 he started vlogging on YouTube with a revolving cast of friends he called The Vlog Squad, filming compressed sketches and stunts that clicked with a young audience. By 2019 his channel was among the most-watched on the platform, and by mid-2022 it held 19 million subscribers and over 7 billion views. He moved into voice work with The Angry Birds Movie 2, judged Nickelodeon's America's Most Musical Family, and hosted a SpongeBob SquarePants special and the first season of Discovery Channel's Dodgeball Thunderdome. The vlog remains the center, still built around the same tight-edit style and the same crew.
