The other half of the Splash Brothers spent 13 seasons turning the corner three into an art form, won four titles with Golden State, then walked. Now he's in Miami, which is roughly like watching your ex at someone else's wedding.

About this person

Klay Thompson, son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson, played three seasons at Washington State before Golden State took him 11th overall in 2011. By 2014, he and Stephen Curry had set an NBA record with 484 combined threes in a season - a mark they broke twice more, peaking at 678 in 2015-16 - and earned the nickname that stuck. Thompson helped deliver the Warriors their first title since 1975 in 2015, then a record 73-win season the next year (they lost the Finals in seven). Two more championships followed in 2017 and 2018. Late in the 2019 Finals he tore his ACL, then missed over two and a half years before returning midseason in 2021-22 to win a fourth ring. After that he left for Miami.
