Dua Lipa modeled before signing to Warner Bros. in 2014, then dropped a self-titled debut in 2017 that climbed to number three in the UK and gave her "New Rules", a breakout that earned her British Female Solo Artist and Breakthrough Act Brits in 2018. "One Kiss" with Calvin Harris became the UK's best-seller of 2018, and by 2019 she'd collected a Grammy for Best New Artist. Future Nostalgia arrived in 2020 - her first UK number-one album - and spun off "Don't Start Now", "Levitating" (which topped Billboard's 2021 year-end Hot 100 and went Diamond), and three other singles that kept her in rotation for two years straight. The record won British Album of the Year and a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. She hit number one again in 2021 with an Elton John duet, made her screen debut in Barbie (2023) with "Dance the Night", then released Radical Optimism in 2024 - another UK chart-topper - and took a supporting role in the spy film Argylle the same year.
