About this person
Pinsky launched Loveline in 1984 as an internist and addiction medicine specialist, spending the next 32 years fielding questions about sex and drugs on syndicated radio. The format migrated to television with Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew on VH1 in 2008, followed by Sex Rehab and Sober House - all built around documenting recovery in real time. He also hosted Dr. Drew On Call on HLN and the daytime series Lifechangers on The CW. Between broadcasts, he worked the Department of Chemical Dependency Services at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena and Huntington Memorial Hospital. Today he runs a private internal medicine practice in South Pasadena and records several podcasts, including Ask Dr. Drew and The Adam and Drew Show with his original Loveline co-host Adam Carolla.
