Cleopatra V was the only confirmed wife of Ptolemy XII and mother to at least one daughter, Berenice IV. She may also have been the mother of Cleopatra VII, born around 69 BC—the same year Cleopatra V likely died. If she survived that year, some scholars believe she became the co-ruler known as Cleopatra VI, who governed alongside Berenice IV until disappearing from all written records after 57 BC.
