Chris Cuomo worked his way up the network ladder from ABC's legal correspondent to Good Morning America anchor, then jumped to CNN in 2013. He co-hosted New Day for five years before landing an evening slot, Cuomo Prime Time, in 2018. The son of Mario Cuomo, New York's governor from 1983 to 1994, and brother of Andrew Cuomo, who held the same office from 2011 to 2021, he found himself tangled in family crisis when Andrew faced sexual harassment allegations. Reports surfaced that Chris had advised his brother's defense effort. CNN fired him in December 2021. He resurfaced at NewsNation under Nexstar Media Group, hosting a show under his own name.
