Anthony Joshua won super-heavyweight silver at the 2011 World Championships, then gold for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics. He turned professional in 2013 and collected the IBF title in 2016, the WBA (Super) and IBO in 2017, and the WBO in 2018. His 2017 bout against Wladimir Klitschko earned Fight of the Year honours from The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America. In June 2019, Andy Ruiz Jr. knocked him off the throne; Joshua reclaimed the unified belts six months later in their rematch. Oleksandr Usyk took them in 2021, beat him again in 2022, and in 2024 Daniel Dubois stopped him in a challenge for the vacant IBF strap. He held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016, was named Prospect of the Year by The Ring in 2014, and has spent a decade near the centre of the heavyweight division without ever fully locking it down.
