Yuri Andreyevich Zhdanov was a Soviet and Russian scientist, chemist. Doctor of Sciences in Chemical Sciences (1960), professor and rector of the University of Rostov (1957–1988). He was the son of Soviet politician Andrei Zhdanov and a former husband of Joseph Stalin's daughter, Svetlana Alliluyeva.
