About

Born in 1978 in Kryvyi Rih to a Russian-speaking Jewish family, Zelenskyy earned a law degree but chose comedy instead, co-creating the production company Kvartal 95. His TV series Servant of the People, where he played a president, aired from 2015 to 2019 and became immensely popular; a party with the same name formed in March 2018. Running as anti-establishment and anti-corruption, he won the 2019 election in the biggest landslide in Ukrainian presidential history.
