@vbuterinAbout this person
Vitaly Dmitrievich Buterin was born 31 January 1994. He found cryptocurrency early, co-founding Bitcoin Magazine in 2011 when the technology was still marginal and strange. By 2015 he had written something bigger: Ethereum, which he deployed that year with Gavin Wood, Charles Hoskinson, Anthony Di Iorio, and Joseph Lubin. The blockchain they launched didn't just move coins - it ran code, turning the ledger into an operating system for decentralized applications. The bet made Buterin one of the most influential figures in crypto, architect of the infrastructure beneath billions in digital assets and countless experiments in what a network can be.
