✓ Source-basedfallingAmerican computer programmer (1969-2018)
He built an entire operating system alone - kernel, compiler, editor, graphics - because he believed God told him to. TempleOS became a strange monument: technically impressive, theologically fevered, and impossible to look away from.

About this person
Terry A. Davis was born December 15, 1969, trained as an electrical engineer and programmer. In 1996 he began experiencing manic episodes that led to hospitalization, first diagnosed as bipolar disorder, later schizophrenia. He spent years building TempleOS in a language he invented called HolyC, convinced it was the Third Temple prophesied in scripture. Eight months before his death he was homeless, refusing housing from fans who brought him supplies. He recorded a video saying he had deleted most of his content to keep the Internet clean, that he was extremely ill. On August 11, 2018, he was struck by a train and died at 48.
