Russell Wilson played college football and baseball at NC State before transferring to Wisconsin in 2011, where he set the single-season FBS record for passer rating and led the Badgers to the Rose Bowl. Seattle took him in the third round of the 2012 draft. He tied the rookie touchdown record, then steered the Seahawks to back-to-back Super Bowls - winning XLVIII, losing XLIX on Malcolm Butler's goal-line interception. In 2019 he signed a four-year, $140 million extension, the richest in the league at the time. The Seahawks traded him to Denver in 2022; he signed for $245 million and promptly led the league's worst scoring offense. Benched late in 2023, he was cut and spent 2024 in Pittsburgh, earning his tenth Pro Bowl, then one season with the Giants. He retired in 2026 to join CBS Sports, the only quarterback ever with 40,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards.
