About this person
Rebecca Ann Heineman was born October 30, 1963, and spent her career writing the low-level systems that made games run. She co-founded Interplay Productions in the industry's early years, then went on to start Logicware and Contraband Entertainment as platforms and ambitions shifted. In 2013 she founded Olde Sküül and took the CEO chair, staying hands-on with code and architecture until her death on November 17, 2025. She was 62, still shipping.
