Muhammad's eleventh wife (c. 594–671)
The eleventh and final wife of Muhammad, whose marriage to him in the early 630s allowed him to enter Mecca for the first time in seven years.
Born around 594, she was originally named Barra. Upon converting to Islam and marrying Muhammad, she changed her name to Maymuna—"good tidings"—a shift that carried symbolic weight: the union marked the first time in seven years he could return to his hometown of Mecca from Medina. She remained his last wife, a position that carried both intimacy and historical significance in the early Muslim community. She died in 671, nearly four decades after his death.
