A bedroom-pop singer-songwriter who built an audience on TikTok by writing about queerness and the messier parts of growing up, under a handle that nods to both Alice and a certain kind of chaos.

About this person
Born Jonathan Tsai to Taiwanese and Peruvian parents, he arrived on TikTok as @madsteaparty and found traction writing songs that didn't sand down the edges of adolescence or identity. His sound pulls from pop and alternative traditions but stays small-scale, intimate - the kind of thing that plays well in a phone speaker and still lands. The subject matter, queerness and self-discovery, carved out space in a platform economy that rewards both specificity and speed.
