Mauro Román Monzón was born October 4, 1999, and spent 2016 and 2017 competing at El Quinto Escalón, the Buenos Aires freestyle proving ground. In 2018 he stepped up to God Level, the international circuit, and that same year dropped "Apaga el Celular" - the single that shifted his path from battles to recordings. Two years later he linked with producer Bizarrap for "Flexin'", which became his biggest hit. Both tracks sailed past 100 million views, and the rapper who'd made his name in cyphers now had a catalog that played in bedrooms and playlists across the Spanish-speaking world.
