At 14, she won Indonesia's Dangdut Academy with a voice that made dangdut - a folk fusion of Hindustani, Arabic, and Malay sounds - pull beyond its traditional audience. The gold ticket from a Cianjur audition turned her into one of the genre's most visible names across Southeast Asia.

About this person

Lestiani was singing publicly by age 8. In 2014, her regional audition earned her a direct pass to the pan-Indonesian D'Academy finals on Indosiar, where she took the first-season title, a car, and immediate momentum. Her debut single "Kejora", written by Nur Bayan and carried over from the show, became her signature. A year later she placed second at D'Academy Asia, losing to Danang Pradana Dieva. Collaborations with Fildan Rahayu, Rizky Billar, and Danang followed, as did wins at the Anugerah Music Indonesia for "Egois" in 2017 and "Tirani" in 2020. She adopted the hijab partway through her career, signed with Trinity Optima Production, acted in films and television, and sat as a juror on Liga Dangdut Indonesia in 2020. She married Rizky Billar in August 2021 and enrolled at Mercu Buana University in 2018.
