Oxavia "Vidi" Aldiano released Pelangi di Malam Hari in 2008, and two tracks - "Nuansa Bening" and "Status Palsu" - caught hold quickly enough to carry him into the 2009 MTV Indonesia Awards, where he took Most Favorite Male Artist before his second year was out. The momentum held. By 2016, Persona moved 250,000 physical copies in five months and went triple platinum, his first certification at that tier. He kept writing and recording through early 2026, when he died on 7 March at thirty-five.
