Laleh is read about 750 times a day, in 32 languages.
A typical day, 30 days to 15 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 390 days, one point a day.
Something wrong? The Swedish-language tracks sound like lullabies until you read the translation. Laleh Pourkarim writes, produces, and performs alone - no co-writers, no outside studio hands - and somehow landed a string of hits across Scandinavia that feel both stark and enormous.

About this person
Born in Iran in 1982, Laleh Pourkarim moved to Sweden and tried acting before releasing a self-titled debut in 2005 that became the year's bestselling album in the country. She sang in English, Swedish, and Persian across eight more studio albums, working entirely as her own producer and instrumentalist. A 2011 television appearance on Så mycket bättre - where artists reinterpret each other's songs - gave her what the press called "a second breakthrough." The 2012 album Sjung produced "Some Die Young," which became a remembrance anthem after the 2011 Norwegian attacks and went 14-times platinum in Norway. Island Records signed her internationally in 2014, leading to songwriting and production work for Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, and Ellie Goulding. She has kept releasing in Sweden - Kristaller in 2016, Vänta! in 2019, Vatten in 2022 - still alone at the board.
