About this person
Kristin Harila was born on 28 March 1986 in Norway and came up as a cross-country skier before turning to mountaineering. Between 2022 and 2023, she and climbing partner Tenjen Sherpa tore through the fourteen eight-thousanders, setting multiple speed records along the way. On 27 July 2023, they summited the final peak and locked in the world record: all fourteen in 92 days. The mark redefined what the human body could sustain at altitude when pushed without pause.
