About this person

Kesha Rose Sebert broke through in 2009 with an uncredited appearance on Flo Rida's "Right Round", then claimed her own number one later that year with "Tik Tok", which sold over 14 million units internationally before being surpassed in 2011. Her debut album Animal (2010) and follow-up Warrior (2012) landed her two number-one albums and a string of top-ten singles including "We R Who We R", "Die Young", and "Timber" with Pitbull. In 2014, she filed suit against her producer Dr. Luke, accusing him of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and employment discrimination - he countersued for breach of contract and defamation, and the legal battle froze her career between albums. She returned in 2017 with Rainbow, her second number-one record, and fulfilled her five-album contract with Kemosabe and RCA by releasing Gag Order in 2023, the same year her lawsuit settled out of court. In 2025, she released Period, her first independent album under her own label, Kesha Records.
