Born 2 July 1979 into one of Hong Kong's most connected families, Kenneth Fok Kai-kong inherited more than wealth: his grandfather Henry Fok was a tycoon with deep mainland ties, his father Timothy Fok a sports administrator. Kenneth took the eldest son's path, becoming vice president of the Fok Ying Tung Group and carving out his own turf in sports governance as vice president of Hong Kong's Olympic committee. In 2021 he entered the Legislative Council, representing the Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication functional constituency. He also holds a seat on the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the advisory body that stitches Hong Kong's elite into Beijing's orbit. The surname still opens doors; Kenneth's job is to walk through them.
