Something wrong? He was minutes from the Eurovision final when the whole thing imploded - disqualified for alleged misconduct that Swedish prosecutors later couldn't prove. The song that got him there, "Europapa", had already hit number one in the Netherlands and made him the face of a contest he'd never get to finish.

About this person
Joost Klein built a following as a Dutch rapper and YouTuber blending hip hop with electronic extremes - drum and bass, hardstyle, gabber - across ten studio albums, two cracking the Dutch top ten. "Wachtmuziek" in 2022 and "Friesenjung" in 2023 landed him chart entries, but "Europapa" in 2024 was the breakthrough: selected for Eurovision, it topped both major Dutch singles charts. He qualified second in his semi-final and was set to perform fifth in the grand final when the European Broadcasting Union disqualified him over misconduct allegations. Swedish prosecutors investigated, then dropped the case in August 2024, unable to prove criminal conduct. He's kept releasing music, joined The Voice van Vlaanderen as a coach for its tenth season, and in 2026 launches his first international tour.
