George Kusunoki Miller started The Filthy Frank Show in Japan in 2011, uploading comedy hip hop, extreme challenges, and rants across three channels that became notorious for their virality and shock humor. He sparked the Harlem Shake meme in the early 2010s, released two comedy albums as his alter-ego Pink Guy between 2014 and 2017, and built a following on absurdity. In late 2017 he killed the show, signed with 88Rising, and re-emerged as Joji - a lo-fi trip-hop artist with none of the old antics. Ballads 1 and Nectar both hit number three on the Billboard 200, "Slow Dancing in the Dark" and "Sanctuary" charted internationally, and 2022's "Glimpse of Us" became his biggest song, peaking at number eight in the US and topping the ARIA Charts. His fourth album, Piss in the Wind, arrived in February 2026.
