Jannik Sinner turned pro at 16 in 2017 and quickly stood out, winning multiple Challenger titles at 17 - a feat few manage that young. By 2019 he'd taken the Next Gen ATP Finals and the Newcomer of the Year award, and in 2021 cracked the top 10, the first player born in the 2000s to do so. His first Masters came at the 2023 Canadian Open, then in January 2024 he took down Novak Djokovic and outlasted Daniil Medvedev in five sets to win the Australian Open - his first major. He closed that year with the US Open and ATP Finals, finishing as year-end No. 1 and making Italy the first nation to hold both the men's top ranking and back-to-back Davis Cups. In 2025 he reached all four major finals, winning Australia and Wimbledon, losing twice to Carlos Alcaraz in five. A year later he defended Wimbledon, rattled off five straight Masters titles, and at 24 became the second - and youngest - player ever to complete the Career Golden Masters.
