About this person
Whitehall debuted stand-up at Edinburgh in 2009 and earned a Best Newcomer nomination straight out. By 2011 he was JP on Fresh Meat, theUpperClass twit with a trust fund, then created and starred in Bad Education as a catastrophically unqualified teacher - a role he wrote himself and carried to a film in 2015. He became a A League of Their Own regular from 2012 to 2018, then pivoted to travelogue with Travels with My Father, mining the dynamic between his urbane dad and his own millennial flailing across four Netflix series from 2017. Five stand-up tours followed, from Jack Whitehall Live through Settle Down in 2023, and he hosted the BRITs on and off from 2018. Bad Education returned for new episodes in 2022, proving the joke still had legs.
