About

Born in Czechoslovakia in 1949, Ivana Zelníčková moved to Canada in the 1970s before settling in the United States and marrying Donald Trump in 1977. She climbed into executive roles within the Trump Organization — vice president of interior design, CEO and president of Trump's Castle casino resort, manager of the Plaza Hotel — while becoming a fixture of New York society through the 1980s. The marriage ended in 1990 in a divorce that drew wall-to-wall media attention.
