2001 is the second studio album by the American rapper and producer Dr. Dre. It was released on November 16, 1999, by Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records as the follow-up to his 1992 debut album, The Chronic. The album was produced mainly by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man, as well as Lord Finesse, and it features eighteen guest contributions. The artists with small appearances include Ms. Roq, Six-Two, Traci Nelson, Tray Deee, Defari, Knoc-turn'al, Time Bomb, King T, MC Ren, Kokane, Devin the Dude, and pornstar Jake Steed, while the ones with several appearances include Hittman, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Xzibit, Eminem, and Nate Dogg.
