Guy Pearce is read about 4,899 times a day, in 58 languages.
A typical day, 30 days to 15 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 390 days, one point a day.
Something wrong? He broke through as a drag queen in the desert, then carved a line through noir, amnesia thrillers, and prestige ensemble pieces without ever becoming the obvious lead. Pearce works in the margins of blockbusters and the center of small films most actors avoid.

About this person
Born in Cambridgeshire in 1967 and raised in Geelong, Guy Edward Pearce surfaced internationally with The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in 1994, then locked in with L.A. Confidential in 1997 and the fractured-memory puzzle of Memento in 2000. He moved through The Count of Monte Cristo, The Time Machine, and The Hurt Locker, threading Australian work like The Proposition and Animal Kingdom between studio turns as a Marvel villain in Iron Man 3 and the corporate architect in both Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. On television he anchored the Jack Irish films across a decade and took home a Primetime Emmy for Mildred Pierce opposite Kate Winslet in 2011. His performance as a wealthy industrialist in The Brutalist in 2024 brought him his first Academy Award nomination.
