Fang Xuanling

Fang Qiao, courtesy name Xuanling (玄齡), better known as Fang Xuanling (房玄齡), posthumous name Wenzhao (文昭), was a Chinese statesman and writer of the Tang dynasty who served as a chancellor under Emperor Taizong. He was the lead editor of the historical record Book of Jin and one of the most celebrated Tang dynasty chancellors. He and his colleague, Du Ruhui, were often described as role models for chancellors in imperial China.
