By December 2020, still a teenager, he had parlayed social media cooking into the principal culinary contributor role on The Drew Barrymore Show - Variety noted he was the first TikTok star to land a recurring daytime television slot. Appearances on Good Morning America, Today, and Live with Kelly and Ryan came next, along with newspaper and magazine columns. In February 2023, the United Nations World Food Programme appointed him a high level supporter. The New York Times called him a "culinary darling"; O, The Oprah Magazine went with "the internet's most delightful chef." He has also written a book.
