About this person
Born 21 October 1967, Dmitry Gordon built a career in Ukrainian media through persistence: chief editor of Gordon Boulevard from 1995 to 2019, host of Visiting Dmytro Gordon since 1996, founder of the online publication GORDON. His two YouTube channels both crossed 1 million subscribers, earning Gold Creator Awards. He served on Kyiv City Council from 2014 to 2016 and in June 2019 took the helm of the election headquarters for the party Strength and Honor. The Russian invasion changed the stakes. In May 2022, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against him and added him to their "foreign agents" list - despite his not being a Russian citizen - accusing him of spreading fake information about the Russian army. Gordon responded by fundraising for the Ukrainian military and speaking for Ukraine in every media appearance he could find.
