Dietrich Mateschitz spent years in marketing at Unilever and Blendax before a trip to Thailand changed the direction. He found Krating Daeng, adapted it, and co-founded Red Bull GmbH in 1984, launching in Austria three years later. The 49% stake he held made him one of the world's wealthiest by April 2022, worth an estimated $27.4 billion. With that came acquisitions: Red Bull Racing, six-time Constructors' Champions in Formula One, its sister team Racing Bulls, FC Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig.
