About

Born Dino Paul Crocetti on June 7, 1917, he broke through in 1946 as half of Martin and Lewis, the nightclub-to-film comedy juggernaut that ran white-hot until an acrimonious split in 1956. The solo years that followed proved the real range: he became a recording force with "That's Amore," "Everybody Loves Somebody," and "Volare" among the 50 million records sold worldwide, and anchored the Rat Pack alongside Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. in the Las Vegas machine.
