Danna Paola

Danna Paola Rivera Munguía was born 23 June 1995 and started young, a child actress and singer working through television projects in Mexico. The children's telenovela Amy, la niña de la mochila azul brought early recognition, followed by a bigger turn in the 2009 teen telenovela Atrévete a soñar. In 2010 she voiced Rapunzel for Disney's Tangled across Latin America and recorded the Spanish-language soundtrack, threading her singing into the role. Years of work in her home market built the foundation, but it was Netflix that cracked the international wall: her portrayal of Lucrecia "Lu" Montesinos in the Spanish teen drama Élite introduced her to audiences who had never heard her name, and the character's sharp edges made her hard to forget.
