CP3 built a case as the Point God - 12 All-Star nods, five assist titles, a record six steals crowns - but never lifted the trophy that settles arguments. The playmaking was never in question. The ring was.

About this person

Christopher Emmanuel Paul came out of Wake Forest in 2005 and landed with the New Orleans Hornets, where he turned into one of the league's elite by his third season, finishing second in MVP voting in 2008. A planned trade to the Lakers in 2011 was killed by the league itself, so he went to the Clippers instead and built Lob City - a fast-break machine that dunked its way into the conversation but never past the second round. He moved to Houston in 2017 and helped rack up 65 wins, then bounced to Oklahoma City, then Phoenix, where he finally reached the Finals in 2021 at age 36. The Suns lost. He spent a season in Golden State coming off the bench for the first time, signed with San Antonio in 2024, returned to the Clippers midseason, got cut in December 2025, and retired two months later. Twelve All-Star teams, two gold medals, no ring.
