Something wrong? One of the fastest bowlers cricket has seen, Lee turned raw pace into a weapon that helped Australia dominate the early 2000s - three ICC trophies, two hat-trick firsts, and 690 international wickets before he hung up the ball at 38.

About this person
Born 8 November 1976, Lee made his Test debut in 1999 and quickly became known for sheer speed, conceding fewer than 20 runs per wicket in his first two years. He was there when Australia won the 2003 Cricket World Cup, where he became the first Australian to take a World Cup hat-trick against Kenya, then added Champions Trophy titles in 2006 and 2009. In 2007 he took the first-ever hat-trick in T20 international cricket, against Bangladesh at the inaugural World Twenty20. He finished with 310 Test wickets and 380 in ODIs - only Muttiah Muralitharan took more one-day wickets in the decade from 2000. Lee retired from international cricket on 12 July 2012, played T20 leagues for a few more seasons, then called it done in January 2015. He's worked as a commentator and film actor since.
