About this person
Robert Lane Saget was born May 17, 1956. He played Danny Tanner on Full House from 1987 to 1995, hosted America's Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997, and voiced the older Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother from 2005 to 2014. The split reputation - squeaky-clean TV father by day, profane club comic by night - defined him, and his 2014 album That's What I'm Talkin' About earned a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. He returned as Danny Tanner for Fuller House from 2016 to 2020. He died January 9, 2022.
