Costa Rican politician (1854-1931)
Ramón Bernardo Soto Alfaro was Costa Rican lawyer, military officer and politician who served as the 14th President of Costa Rica from 1885 to 1889. A Freemason and prominent member of the liberal Olympus Generation, he was the second-youngest person to assume the presidency, at age 31.
