Bald and Bankrupt
British travel vlogger and YouTuber · United Kingdom · On the map · Creators · Born 1974 · age 52
Benjamin Rich films travel vlogs in post-Soviet spaces and obscure corners most YouTubers skip - crumbling Soviet relics, back-alley markets, babushkas who feed him pickles. His 4.52 million subscribers follow for the unscripted encounters and a lens on places that rarely get one.
Bald and Bankrupt is read about 199 times a day, in 11 languages.
A typical day, 30 days to 31 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 400 days, one point a day.

Rich built his channel around Russia and the former USSR, wandering through forgotten industrial towns and striking up conversations in passable Russian. The format was simple: handheld camera, no script, genuine curiosity. By May 2026 he'd racked up 727 million views across 227 videos. In 2022 Russia deported him and issued a ban after he openly backed Ukraine and raised funds for the country. The channel continues, now roaming other post-Soviet states and overlooked regions where the aesthetic - Soviet decay, eccentric locals, a Brit with a backpack - still plays.
