Biography

About

Aminah bint Wahb came from the Banu Zuhra, a respected Meccan tribe. Around 549, she was born into a world of trade routes and tribal alliances. She married and bore a son who would become Islam's central prophet. She died in 577, when that son was still a child, decades before the revelations that would rewrite the region's spiritual and political map.
