About this person
Born 16 July 1966, Tilbe rose through Turkey's music scene with a sound that blended traditional eastern textures into ballad form - a formula that connected hard and held. The approach made her one of the country's best-selling artists, a commercial force sustained across years by an audience that kept coming back to the same melancholic pull. She remains a fixture in Turkish pop, her catalog a through-line in the country's soundtrack.
