British photographer (1893-1975)
Yevonde Philone Middleton was an English photographer, who pioneered the use of colour in portrait photography. She used the professional name Madame Yevonde or simply Yevonde in a career lasting over 60 years. During the interwar period, she was amongst a group of photographers that "brought a new vitality to British photography".
